A growing salsa company based in St. Paul, Minn. has targeted Milwaukee as one of the regional markets where it hopes to expand this year.

Lisa's Salsa Co. makes and sells just one product, Salsa Lisa, which has grown almost completely by word of mouth in the Twin Cities.

Now the company owner, Lisa Nicholson, is looking to take her salsa to Milwaukee and Madison, cities from where she already receives many product requests from people who used to live in Minnesota.

"We feel like we would have some brand recognition going into the market," Nicholson said.
