Venezuela may finally have a winner in revived and revitalized Aerapostal

The Venezuelan airline industry has navigated through an unstable environment since the mid-1990s, trying painfully to keep pace in the complex world air transport arena. It appears that one of the newest carriers in the race, Aeropostal-Alas de Venezuela, is on its way to becoming the winner.

Last year the airline posted an increase of 2l% in passenger boardings to 2.47 million while revenues jumped from $128 million to $205 million. It also recorded a $7 million profit. Its domestic market share, according to its calculations, was 64%. It also boasted a 30% share in the vital ...
