Jakarta, Sept 6 (ANTARA) - A UN organization, Global Alliance Vaccine and Immunization (GAVI), has pledged to provide US$40 million in funds to produce Hepatitis B vaccine in Indonesia, Health Minister Ahmad Sujudi said here Thursday.
"Immunization of babies is important and Indonesia has a good reputation in this regard because we can produce the vaccine," Sujudi said after a meeting with Vice President Hamzah Haz.
He met the vice president accompanied by GAVI member James Maynard and pharmaceutical company Biofarma President Director Thamrin Poeloengan.
