HAVANA -- The tourism industry is responding to complaints about a lack of recreational activities with a flurry of new projects.

One of the major complaints voiced by foreign tourists is that aside from fine beaches and good site seeing, there are not enough sporting and other leisure activities in Cuba.

Tourism company Rumbos, run by the Armed Forces, apparently will take the lead in developing new leisure projects. Company sources say Rumbos plans to build golf courses, bowling alleys, scuba parks, parasailing center and other facilities for tourists.
