The Elantra GT may be one of the best-kept secrets on the road right now, so much so Hyundai doesn't even mention the model on its own website, usa.hyundaimotor.com. The GT has cute Saab-like styling, a tasteful, clean and understated interior (no cheap, wacky-patterned cloth here), oodles of cargo utility and a 10-year, 100,000-mile warranty-all for under 15 large. So what if the engine is a bit of a dog and the shifter has too much slop? You can fit a stack of 10-foot boards in it and close the hatch, its sport-tuned suspension makes tossing it around a hoot, it has a full complement of features (power windows, doors and locks, cruise, air, four-wheel discs, keyless remote, tilt, CD, front and side airbags, leather seating surfaces) and it won't break the bank.
