Community Health Systems Inc., the for-profit hospital management company based in Brentwood, Tenn., hasn't quenched its thirst for Pennsylvania hospitals just yet.

After signing deals for two suburban Philadelphia hospitals earlier this year, Community Health has signed an agreement to acquire Easton Hospital in the Lehigh Valley.

Easton has been trying to align with a larger health system for the past year. In May, California-based Tenet Healthcare Corp., which operates seven Philadelphia-area hospitals, ended merger discussion after determining the facility did not match its expansion goals.

That opened the door for talks with Community Health. …
