It's been 17 years since Air Force Staff Sgt. Rodney "Maurice" King died while on active duty. His daughter, Heather, wants to make sure she never forgets him. On Thursday, Heather King of Ladson received four of her father's military decorations from 1st District U.S. Rep. Henry Brown. Apparently the decorations were overlooked when King's father died in a boating accident. "I have his funeral flag," the 23-year-old King said, "and I'm planning to put up on my living room wall a memorial to all of us (in her family) who served in the military."
