One of the most visible properties in Preston Center is on the sale block. Holliday Fenoglio Fowler is offering The Berkshire at Preston Center at 5950 Berkshire Lane. Built in 1984, the 16-story, 185,000-square-foot office tower sits near the intersection of Northwest Highway and Dallas North Toll-way.

Barry Brown, senior, director, and Linda Simpson, associate director, will team up to market the property. Dallas-based Holliday Fenoglio arranged the sale to the current owner, an offshore pension fund, in 1996. The fund reportedly paid about $125 per square foot, or $23 million.

Brown said there are many barriers to entry in the Preston Center submarket. …
