Florida's forecast: bright

The sun continues to shine on Florida, as far as the -- economy is concerned.

Worries about an economic slowdown linger across much of the nation. But Florida remains strong, as indicated by its four-star rating in Demographics Daily's economic ratings for July. That's just one step below the highest possible score.

The outlook is even brighter in selected urban areas. Five Florida metros reached the peak by earning five-star ratings in July: West Palm Beach, Naples, Orlando, Fort Myers and Sarasota. No other state placed more than three metros in the top echelon.
