Fight gets tempers flaring

Tempers rise quickly when it comes to routing power lines, as displayed in letters sent to various parties regarding IREA's proposed power line in Douglas County.

In a letter dated May 15, Parker's Mayor Pro Tem, David Aldridge, informed the Colorado Public Utilities Commission, which regulates utilities, that the town objected to IREA's proposed power line running through the town, in part because the line is being constructed to serve real property which is not located in the Town of Parker and is, in fact, located north of E-470..."
