ST. GEORGE-It took fear of the West Nile virus to do what Dorchester County's public works director has been unable to do - get another mosquito sprayer. Mosquito control for the 575-square-mile county has been handled by one sprayer, one truck and one employee. For each of the last several years, Public Works Director Doug Tompkins has asked County Council to give him another sprayer, truck and employee.
