Giants find life in 9th inning 'sayonara' win.

It took the Giants a while to wake up, but after scoring just one run in each of their last two games, manager Shigeo Nagashima's men finally found the way home on Tuesday night.

The Giants scored first, and more importantly, last as they defeated the Hanshin Tigers 7-6 in a see-saw battle at Tokyo Dome.

Akira Eto followed a three-run Tiger rally in the top of the seventh with a two-run homer in the bottom of the inning that brought the Giants within one.

After Yoshinobu Takahashi tied the game with a solo homer in the bottom of the ninth, Eto delivered the game winner as he drove the ball over the Tigers' center fielder. The drive scored Hideki Matsui, who ended a two-game hitless streak by going 3-for-3 with a homer, three runs scored and two RBIs.

Elsewhere in the Central League: Carp 5, Swallows 3: Hiroshima rallied from two-runs down to end Yakult's five-game winning streak as the Carp beat the Swallows at Hiroshima.
