Kidding!
Talk about a tease! I saw AutoWeek's July 23 cover and I thought, ``Great, Richard took a Dodge to Goodwood!'' Then I read through the pages and found nothing about it. Nice story about Darrell Waltrip, as far as it went, but nothing about the Petty Dodge and not much about others of interest: Moss, Surtees, etc.

I just got back from Elkhart Lake and got my new AutoWeek. On the cover is a NASCAR [car] with the caption, ``Good Ol' Wood.'' I thought what a great way to end a weekend of vintage racing by reading about more vintage racing. What was in it? Only about DW. Some of us care about other kinds of cars and drivers other than NASCAR. If this kind of coverage keeps up, I will cancel my subscription. Now I hope Speed-
vision gets to air ``Goodwood'' before it turns into NASCARvision and I drop it also.

You guys sure had me going for a while there... First I see DW in jolly ol' England racing his old Cup car, then further on I read about Jaguars gathering in DW's hometown of Franklin, Tennessee. By the time I was done I was looking over my shoulder for Rod Serling. Further on, all was righted when I read that DW backed it into the fence and wrinkled it.
