DaimlerChrysler is keeping its word when it comes to developing a higher-output engine for its oh-so-popular PT Cruiser.

Saddled since its inception with an underpowered 150-hp, 2.4-liter four-cylinder Mitsubishi engine, it appears the Cruiser is close to getting a turbocharger upgrade.
