Taking Stock has several changes for 2001 and, following the pattern of the last few years, most of the changes involved removing companies from the list of Central Ohio's publicly traded operations.

Followers of the local business scene surely know the drill.

We remember when Banc One Corp. called Columbus home. It moved into a competitor's offices in Chicago in 1998 and soon thereafter most of the Columbus executives moved out.

And remember shopping at that hometown institution, Sun Television & Appliances? Also gone in 1998, after declaring bankruptcy and liquidating operations.
