A Slow and Easy Way of Life
Readers of our July 2 story on the Slow Food and Slow City movements in Europe readily endorsed the pursuit of a more relaxed lifestyle. An American in Europe said he appreciates getting more vacation time and having slower meals on the Continent. Another reader admires those who value free time over more money. Still others worry about the idea of governments' forcing their citizens to adapt to any way of life, even the slow and easy kind. Some even consider the rules and regulations limiting work hours "an infringement of individual liberty."
