SYDNEY -- The New Zealand government has appointed a special committee of five ministers to review competing proposals for the recapitalization and possible change of ownership in the national airline, Air New Zealand Ltd.
Prime Minister Helen Clark said Monday night the government expected to make its decision by the end of August to allow the airline time to prepare its annual report.
"We have taken a lot of advice from officials, from experts commissioned by officials, and there's now a clear idea in our minds what the options are," Clark said.
