J1 outfit Urawa Reds have targeted Brazilian striker Emerson to fill the gap in their attack created by the departure of Shinji Ono to Feyenoord, Japanese daily Nikkan Sports said on Tuesday.
Reds, who will also open J1's second stage minus injured front man Tuto, are reported to have lined up a 300 million yen bid for the 19-year-old Kawaski Frontale forward. That sum would equal the J.League record fee Kawasaki Verdy paid Yokohama Flugels for Masakiyo Maezono in 1997.
