Universities to accept Net applications

An association of about 120 private universities plans to introduce an online application system on an experimental basis for next academic year's student intake.

The online system will allow applications for university entrance to be sent 24 hours a day, enabling the various universities to standardize their application procedures.

The new system will be particularly beneficial for applicants who wish to apply to a number of different universities. Previously, applicants have had to fill out hand-written application forms for each university they applied for.
