Vanguard Airlines has released a statement denying accusations made against it by online travel site, Orbitz.
Customers using the Orbitz site have apparently been having problems making bookings with the carrier and Orbitz has suggested that this is because Vanguard Airlines has rejected the sales of available seats shown on the site. The site also claims that Vanguard Airlines has a 'relatively low level of connectivity between Vanguard's reservation systems and the computerised reservations system used by travel agencies.'
Vanguard Airlines has stated however that it has direct connections with both Sabre and Worldspan and has indicated that no other travel sites or agencies have had problems selling its seats. The carrier blames Orbitz's own system for the problem. Vanguard also denied that ...
