A 12-year-old girl died early Wednesday, hours after being found handcuffed and bleeding by the side of the Chugoku Expressway in Kita Ward, Kobe, police said.
Noriko Kamiie, a first-year student at Shin Kitano Middle School, was found by a passing driver at 10:35 p.m. Tuesday.
Kamiie, of Higashiyodogawa Ward, Osaka, was taken to a hospital, but died just over four hours later. She had suffered a depressed fracture at the back of her skull, and her left leg was badly injured, leading police to believe she was thrown from a vehicle.
Police are treating the case as murder. …
