Jannie Gichia, an assistant professor of nursing at the University of Central Florida, recently established a medical clinic in the village of Wanjengi, Kenya.

Gichia's husband, Frank Mwangi Gichia, is a native to the village and helped his wife by acting as an interpreter. The clinic was set up in a home once owned by her husband's family.…
