Maryland sure has some great art. It's not just an opinion -- the numbers show it too. More than 10 million people visit arts events annually in the state, generating $230 million. More than 17,330 jobs are in the arts industry in Maryland. A total economic impact of $726 million each year is generated by the arts industry in our state.

Central Maryland, especially Baltimore City, has the biggest impact of all -- the region has an annual economic impact of more than $454 million -- and employs 10,942 art industry workers at last counting.
