Japan An announcement made by the Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) and the PSA (Peugeot-Citroen) group has promised that the signing of a memorandum of understanding is imminent. The two sides have been engaged in talks on the joint development of a new vehicle platform in Europe. The platform is destined for joint production of small, entry-level passenger cars. TMC president, Fujio Cho, and PSA CEO, Jean-Martin Folz, plan to sign the memorandum of understanding at a ceremony in Brussels, Belgium, next week.
