Cleveland Clinic's 1,000 employees moved to their new hospital and medical offices in Weston this week, but that wasn't all the house cleaning that took place.

As many as 15 employees were fired and Aetna-US Healthcare is not renewing its contract with the provider. It is estimated that more than 3,000 families will no longer be covered at the clinic.

"At this point, there is no contract to continue our relationship with Aetna-US Healthcare," said Sandy Wolf, director of marketing at Cleveland Clinic Florida. "These talks have been ongoing since late last year and we are concerned for the patients covered by the plan. But 1 the door is still open."
