Elektra Entertainment Group and Paramount Pictures have announced the release of the soundtrack to Tomb Raider, scheduled to hit stores on 5 June 2001.
The disc precedes the 6 July release of the much-hyped film inspired by Eidos Interactive's highly successful video game featuring battling cyberbabe Lara Croft. The soundtrack features U2, nine inch nails, Missy Misdemeanor Elliott with Nelly Furtado, OutKast, Moby, Fatboy Slim and The Chemical Brothers, among others.
Promotional activity for the film includes an on-pack competition with UK cereal manufacturer Weetabix. The promotion, which will appear on 20 million packs of Weetabix over the next three months, offers consumers the chance to win one of six Tomb Raider branded Landrovers as featured in the film.
