Dewey Land Co. has halted construction on what was to be the second-largest office building in Daly City and three contractors have filed liens for more than $5 million against the property.
The liens are against the land for the Serramonte Corporate Center, a planned seven-story, 165,000-square-foot office building scheduled to go up at 395 Hickey Boulevard. The building, which was originally planned for completion this month, is the first known Bay Area building to halt construction in the current chilly real estate climate.
