A former Fuji Heavy Industries Ltd. chairman was slapped with a suspended sentence Tuesday after he was found guilty of bribing late Defense Agency vice minister and legislator Yojiro Nakajima.
Former Chairman Isamu Kawai, 78, was handed an 18-month imprisonment, suspended for three years, while his aide, ex-Fuji Heavy Industries director Yasuyuki Kogure, 66, was hit with a 14-month sentence, also suspended for three years at the Tokyo District Court.
