KAMO, Kyoto -- An elementary school principal here has apologized for pretending to stab eight students at a morning assembly, school officials said Thursday.
"I was trying to make students understand the seriousness of the (Ikeda, Osaka Prefecture, stabbing) incident, but I acted inappropriately," the unnamed 53-year-old Kuni Elementary School principal said.
