InStranet
Software developer InStranet Inc. has secured $14.7 million in Series C financing. New investors Benchmark Capital and Donald L. Lucas led the round, with support from existing shareholders Business Objectives SA, Apollo Invest, RSA SA and Galileo Partners. The company, which makes software that helps corporations exchange information with customers, suppliers and partners, said the capital would be used to expand sales and marketing operations. www.thedeal.com
Castek Software Factory
Toronto-based Castek Software Factory Inc. reported Thursday it has received $10 million in a third round of funding from p3Technology Partners of the Netherlands and CIBC Capital Partners and Altamira Management Ltd., both of Toronto. The funding marks the first Canadian investment by p3, a Dutch VC fund backed by bank insurers ING and Achmea. Altamira has invested in Castek in all three of its funding rounds. Castek plans to use the funds to develop software and further access the financial services industry in the United States and Canada. www.thedeal.com
Turbo Squid
New Orleans-based Turbo Squid Corp., an online digital marketplace, has completed a $5.1 million first round of funding. Advantage Capital Partners led the round.
