As he heads into his first summit meeting in India, Pakistan's leader, Gen. Pervez Musharraf, decided he needed a boost. So he cast aside his olive green Army uniform last week and donned a black sherwani, or long coat, appointing himself president. Clearly, he needs all the credibility he can get in talks next month with Indian Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee. But will a glossy honorific do it?
