2001 JUN 14 - (NewsRx Network) -- NewsRx Network, Atlanta, Georgia, the leading provider of life science databases and daily and weekly health news, now has coined a new medical word: "infotherapy."
The new word is the combination of two words, "information" and "therapy." Infotherapy was unveiled at eHealthcareWorld 2001 San Diego, California, May 23-25, this year's leading conference on the convergence of the Internet and emerging technologies on the healthcare industry.
The new word was unveiled as the one-word description for the redesigned NewsRx.net site on the Internet. To further emphasize use of the new word and to commemorate the new site design, NewsRx has arranged for users to access the Web site using either www.infotherapy.com or www.NewsRx.net.
NewsRx databases are derived from medical conferences and over 3,000 peer-reviewed medical and scientific journals, including 6,000 medical articles published worldwide each week.
NewsRx Network is the Official Online News Source for eHealthcareWorld 2001 San Diego. This is the fourth time NewsRx has received this designation from eHealthcareWorld.
NewsRx, publisher of over 20 titles including award-winning Women's Health Weekly, also reported from the Women's Leadership Forum, which was held prior to the meeting on May 22-23.
"NewsRx not only is defining the world of Internet medical information, we are defining the terms and words," said Charles Henderson, CEO, NewsRx.
