Prosecutors to undergo training at private companies.

Narrow-minded prosecutors will undergo training at private companies and organizations for a year or two to broaden their view, according to a Justice Ministry plan revealed Friday.

The plan has been prompted by the leak of investigative information by the second-in-command of the Fukuoka District Public Prosecutors Office to a Fukuoka High Court judge whose wife was under police probe for coercion. The scandal that exposed the cozy relations between prosecutors and judges provoked a public outrage, prompting the Supreme Public Prosecutors Office to work out a report recommending the new training plan.
