SAN FRANCISCO -- If LocalBusiness.com had gotten as much interest when it was publishing as it's getting today, it might not have had to close down.
According to Cathy Lerman, vice president and general counsel with the Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based company, LocalBusiness received dozens of calls after from prospective buyers after announcing earlier this month that it was putting its assets up for sale. The company now is seeing Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in the Southern District of Florida.
