KUALA LUMPUR, June 13 (Bernama) -- Amanah SmallCap Fund Bhd (ASFB), a closed-end fund that invests in companies with market capitalisation of below RM1.5 billion at the time of purchase, expects to break even when the Emas Index reaches around the 210 points level.
Break even refers to a net asset value (NAV) of RM1.00. The companys' NAV as at June 8, 2001 stood at 67.7 sen.
Its non-executive director Iskander Ismail, said that the company does not have to wait until the Emas Index reaches 318 points, the index level at ASFB's inception on April 17, 1997 to break even because of the value-adding that has been done to the fund.
