New research has found that cinema advertising has higher recall than that shown on TV.

The findings indicate that an ad screened in the cinema is seven to 12 times more likely to be remembered than the same ad shown on TV.

In looking for reasons as to why this is the case, interviews were conducted with cinema-goers.

The comments were highly revealing. "It's hard to miss them.

They're just so big, aren't they?" said one. "I mean, my telly is only 22 inches but the cinema screen is as big as a house." "It's not easy to forget the logo on the bum of a pair of jeans when it's 20 feet high," commented another, "even when you're stuffing your face with a large Coke and a bucket of popcorn."
