J. Walter Thompson London has appointed its managing partner Ros King as its new managing director.
King will report to Simon Bolton, JWT London's newly arrived chief executive. Bolton commented: "Ros has been appointed for her client-facing skills and her ability to drive standards. I've asked her to help me develop this agency for the future."
She will be the agency's first female managing director. Bolton added: "The agency has a lot of women in it -- it's about time that someone reached the higher echelons of management."
