Mother's ambient work for Britart.com is the only work from an advertising agency to take a gold Pencil at this year's D&AD Awards.
The campaign, which involved flyposters tied to everyday items such as lamp-posts and pavements describing them as if they were works of art, took gold in the Ambient Media category. The other three gold Pencil winners, for Apple Computer, London Eye and Science Museum, were all design agencies.
Mother also won two silver Pencils in the Television & Cinema Advertising category for its "what is it?" and QTV campaigns for Emap on Air. CliffFreeman & Partners won two silver Pencils in the same category for its Fox Sports Net ads, directed by Traktor.
Leo Burnett's "bear" ad for John West also won a silver Pencil in the category as did its "plumber", "estate agent", and "Alan Hansen" McDonald's spots.
