Two more top executives of technology firms are stepping down.
Net2000 announced that President Clyde Heintzelman will retire on June 1. Working through its previously announced restructuring plan, the company hired Verizon executive Duane Albro to replace Heintzelman. Heintzelman will remain on the Harndon-based telecom's board and serve as a consultant.
Heintzelman, 62, leaves Net2000 after serving as its president since 1999. Before joining the company, he spent more than 20 years in the telecom industry working most recently as president and CEO of Savvis Communications and COO and president of Digex.
