SHAH ALAM, June 9 (Bernama) -- Thailand emerged champions of the inaugural Asean Futsal (five-a-side indoor football) tournament with a 12-1 hiding of Singapore in the final here tonight.
The Thais, who participated in the World Futsal championship in Guatemala last year, proved to be in a class of their own in the five-team meet here.
The Thais only took two minutes to open accounts against Singapore through Tanasit Tong-In.
This was followed by two goals by Anucha Munjarern, in the 9th minute and 12th minute.
Singapore played defensively in a bid to keep the score down.
Still, the Thai goal-fest continued with Pattaya Peimkum …
