Channelfly moves into artist management.
Channelfly has further diversified its music interests by moving into management with the acquisition of Stephen Budd Management and its sister company SuperVision Management.
Following the deal, Stephen Budd, whose roster of 30 producers includes Rick Nowels, Arthur Baker, Chris Kimsey and Jason Nevins, will join the Channelfly beard. Paul Craig, with whom he co-founded Supervision -- which manages artists including the Webb Brothers, Dark Rower and Alpha -- will join Channelfly's senior management team.
Channelfly's activities now extend from the Barfly live venues, Student Broadcast Network and Channelfly website, to plugging operation Power Promotions, magazine publishing (The Fly) and artist management. During the past 13 months the company has spent 4.5m [pounds sterling] on five key acquisitions.
