Health System's Oakland base Offers little room for growth
SOUTH SIDE -- UPMC Health System. which already has a huge presence in this neighborhood, may enlarge it even more.
The health care giant confirmed it's in discussions about taking space in Quantum One, a 160,000-square-foot building in the 34-acre South Side Works complex that is being developed by the Soffer Organization of Monroeville. Sources said UPMC wants to take the entire building.
