Sale, lease signs dot Boca Raton's Congress Avenue
"Congress Ave. red hot." That's how the Boca Baton News described the office and light industrial corridor north of Yamato Road in a Sunday front-page story a little more than a month ago.
Today the tree-lined, prosperous looking, mile-long stretch from Yamato to Clint Moore Road sports a dozen space available signs, but when The Business Journal talked with more than a dozen real estate brokers and leasing agents representing property on the street, none could report new rental agreements signed.
At the expansive T-Rex Technical Center on Yamato just south of Congress, where more than half a million square feet of office space sits idle and more than 90 acres of campus like land are for sale, Timothy Vallace, a senior VP at T-Rex, cautioned against reporting speculation by brokers and I leasing agents that a sale or development a announcement will be made soon.
