For at least six days, a frightened tabby cat called out for help from atop a transformer on Rivers Avenue. His holiday rescue involved almost a dozen people and proved that animal welfare advocate Carol Linville is no pussycat when it comes to helping a pet in need. When it seemed no one would come for the cat, which rescuers later named Watt-son, Linville called police and threatened to climb up the pole herself.
