The ongoing turbulence facing technology stocks is driving investors to shelter their funds in other lines, but electric transmission companies like Nstar and National Grid don't appear to be on many investors' short lists.

The stock price of Nstar, the Boston-based holding company for Nstar Electric and Nstar Gas (formerly Boston Edison and Boston Gas), closed at $39.72 earlier this week. The stock's 52-week high is $46.13, compared with a low of $33.94.
