Friends and family of Daisytek International President and CEO Jim Powell held a not-so-somber funeral April 18 to bid adieu -- not to Powell, but to his youth. The conspirators who put this shindig together on the occasion of Powell's 40th birthday even got his mother in on the gag. The mischievous crew arrived at Daisytek headquarters on Central Expressway in Allen at 8 a.m., along with a hearse and driver, and loaded Powell into his casket.
