A task force on gender equity has concluded that Marquette University discriminates against women on its faculty. Now the university is trying to figure out how it will correct the problem.
The university's Task Force on Gender Equity recently sent its report to Father Robert Wild, Marquette University president, who created the task force in the spring of 1999 in response to complaints that Marquette's employment practices toward women were unfair.
The full report will be published later this spring, although a summary of it has been posted on the university's Web site, www.marquette.edu/genderequity.
