* We've all been on the receiving end of a soul-crushing put-down that left us with our ego bruised. To help soothe the sting, Cosmo rounded up the world's most outrageous slanders and slurs. These beyond-bitchy comments will leave you laughing, gasping, and shaking your head at how damn rude people can really be.

Stud Snub

"My boss is known for his huge Labor Day parties, and I received my invitation in mid-July. A coworker who has the same tide I do but is more buddy-buddy with the boss came up to me later that week and said, 'Are you bringing your boyfriend to the party?' I told her that the invitation was addressed just to me, so I hadn't even thought about bringing a guest. 'Well, my husband's invited, but that's because the boss wants good-looking guys for his female friends to look at. So I wouldn't even ask him about your boyfriend,' she said. Before I could even react to her more or less calling my boyfriend ugly, she trotted back to her office. Since then, I've been making a point of throwing away her phone messages whenever I can."

Slim Pick-Ons

"I am about 6 feet tall and weigh 125 pounds--I've always been naturally tall and thin. I know that people think I have an eating disorder, but I don't--it's just my genes. One day, a woman came into the bank where I work, looked me dead in the eye, and said, 'You think that starving yourself will make you beautiful, but people like you can never be skinny enough. If you had any idea how ugly you really are, you'd be sick.' For the rest of the day, I felt like a bony freak of nature."
