Cosmo readers dish about the crazy come-ons that guys used to capture their attention...and their hearts.

"Last summer, I started Rollerblading. It took a while to learn, but several days--and bruises--later, I decided to skate along the bike path by the beach. In the parking lot, I saw a hot surfer guy in a wet suit getting a surfboard out of his car. We smiled at each other, then I put on my blades and set off. Half an hour later, I felt tired and called it quits. I was skating back to my car when out of nowhere, this guy fell on top of me. It was the hottie surfer, still in his wet suit! He had decided he had to meet me, so even though he had no clue how to Rollerblade, he rented a pair at the beach hut and chased me down. We went out to lunch that day and have been together ever since."

Meredith, 28, actress

"A fight broke out at a friend's party. One of the thugs threw a punch but was so drunk, he missed his target and ended up hitting me square in the mouth. Another guy, whom I'd never met, saw what happened and immediately came to my rescue. When my lip started to swell, he went ballistic. He pushed my attacker to the ground and told him to leave the party or he'd call the cops. The guy's heroic act totally won my heart."

Maggie, 26, grad student

"From my first day of work, it was clear that Craig was into me, but I have a rule against dating coworkers, which I made known. Well, one night I was working late on a project, and at the rate I was going, I knew I'd be at the office all night. Craig had already gone home, but he called every hour just to check on my progress. Then, around 10 P.M., he arrived with Chinese takeout and offered to pick up some of the slack. We crunched numbers for three hours over fried rice and kung pao chicken. Any guy who'd help me with my workload (without getting overtime) was definitely worth breaking my rules with to indulge in a little office romance."
