A top aide to former Gov. William Weld and the man who wrote the book that convinced the Bay State to experiment with charter schools is no longer running day-to-day operations at the for-profit charter school company he founded.
Steven Wilson, who was appointed Weld's special assistant and strategic planning director in April 1993, is still chairman of the board of the privately held Boston-based Advantage Schools Inc. but has shed the CEO title.
